Google TV - Next step in World Domination

Google has slowly but surely gotten a foothold in all facets of our society, starting from a simple search engine, all the way to our phones, browsers, OS, internet advertisements, and the like. It seems that they are still not slowing down anytime soon. They are looking towards a new (or perhaps older horizon), the more antiquated media, Television.

The project, dubbed Google TV (I'm sure GTV is already taken somewhere), is a partnership between Sony, Intel, and Logitech to create a product that would enable TV goers to view popular internet content through their televisions. Very reminiscent of Apple TV, the Xbox 360, or the Playstation Platforms, it's definitely not uncharted territory to say the least.

3DTV - Fad or Standard of Innovation?

We've all come to love the experience of being able to see various movies in 3D. You get to pay an extra 4 bucks for your ticket, get cool glasses with RFID tags so you don't steal them but don't actually work all that well, and if you're lucky and see it in IMAX, then you also get to see a cool laser show in the beginning. All of these play a part in the experience you have in being able to see things in 3D (Because real life isn't good enough). That being said, Sony's latest technological push relies on bringing the 3D experience into your home, glasses and all.

Now, it's all well and good to be able to enjoy a 3D movie once in a while, but to bring it to your TV?
It might be a little tedious, especially when you have to wear glasses every time you watch TV. Especially for us geeks who already have glasses (assuming you don't have contacts), this poses an exceptionally difficult situation of BEING ABLE TO SEE. Aside from this very minor detail, we can all assume that the future holds perfect 20/20 vision for all. The question is, are people willing to pay for it?

God of War 3 Achievement Unlocks Mystery

First of all if you haven't picked up a copy of God of War 3 yet, Sony's final installment of the epic God of War series which started originally for the PS2, then do so. However, if you are one of the millions that have gotten your hands on this game, and one of the even fewer that have gotten a platinum trophy through PSN, then you may have noticed that it gives you a 'secret' website URL "http://www.godofwar.com/spartansstandtall/".

As of this writing, the current picture is of a stormy seashore with thunder in the background and heavy rains on the water. On the top right is a gauge of some sort, which is currently at 1/4 filled, filling clockwise.
